Drew Hill formed his vision of what it means to be an attorney by observing his father, a small-town lawyer who operated a general practice.
“He really made a difference in the lives of people of all races and stations in life, often taking little or no fee for his work,” says Drew, who was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, on March 21, 1952. “He also showed me that, as a lawyer, your word is your bond. Never do anything in the practice of law that calls your credibility into question.”
After earning his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Georgia, Drew was admitted to the Georgia bar in 1977.
As an attorney with Blasingame, Burch, Garrard & Ashley, P.C., he is currently focused on representing injured women against manufacturers of defective medical devices for the treatment of incontinence and/or pelvic organ prolapse disorders.
“Bashing lawyers seems to be in vogue, but when a client is in real trouble or has had his or her life turned upside down due to a serious personal injury, a well-trained, seasoned trial attorney can help right that world,” he says. “That is what we, as trial attorneys, seek to accomplish.”
When he isn’t working, Drew’s favorite pastime is spending time with his young grandson and playing golf with a group of his favorite friends.
