Lee grew up in Atlanta and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2005.
Lee previously worked at one of Atlanta’s largest insurance defense firms, where he successfully defended doctors, hospitals, trucking companies, property owners, and corporations. He gained invaluable insight into how insurance companies evaluate claims and the tactics employed by defense attorneys both prior to and during trial.
Lee switched sides in 2012 after realizing that he relates better to plaintiffs and that representing them is more fulfilling. He applies his familiarity with the insurance company mindset and experience with the techniques employed by defense attorneys to successfully pursue claims on behalf of the victims of negligence. His practice covers a range of catastrophic injury cases including those involving medical negligence, automobile and trucking wrecks, defective products, and dangerous conditions on premises. He is particularly proud of his success in helping veterans injured by delays and inadequate medical care at Veterans Administration hospitals throughout the Southeast.
Lee is admitted to practice in all of Georgia’s state and federal courts. He is a member of the American Association of Justice and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.
Lee and his wife live in Athens with their two children. They are members of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Lee enjoys running, spending time outside with his family, and watching sports.
